On the 14th March 2017, the DEMAT's directors decided that local governance for All Saints Academy and it's partner school, St Martin of Shouldham, should reflect the executive headship arrangement: that there should be a single local governing body. Of the DEMAT's 22 other academy schools, 11 already have shared arrangements of this type, across five local governing bodies.
Of course, the directors could not implement this decision without also ending the terms of office of the existing local governors in the two local governing bodies. In doing so, the directors have been mindful of the tremendous commitment that these volunteers have given to the role. They are, like everyone else, able to apply for vacancies on what will be called The Village Saints Partnership Local Governing Body and details of our new application process are published on the DEMAT website at www.demat.org.uk.
We wish those existing local governors every success, and thank them for their commitment during their time in the role.
