Keeping You Informed

Keeping you informed

We want to keep parents informed of their child's progress, and about other activities in school.  We recognise that good communication benefits the whole school community.

Term Dates

Future term dates can be found by clicking below to take you to the Norfolk County Council Schools website, where calendars for future years are published two years in advance. However, these only give an indication of holiday periods, and may not reflect St. Martin at Shouldham's individual schedule of Professional Development Days (inset days).

School Newsletter

We publish a school newsletter on a regular basis. You can find the latest issue below, along with an archive of old newsletters. Paper versions are available at the office.

Calendar

Our calendar details what events and activities are coming up soon, so check back often......

School Letters

You can find a copy of any letters given out to your children here.

Meeting the Teachers

Each Term there are formal opportunities for you to meet your child's teacher - these may be open afternoons / mornings, parents' evenings to discuss on a one to one basis how your child is getting on, or other events.

Parent Forum

Each half term we hold a Parent Forum, it is the perfect chance to get involved and get any issues out in the open. Each meeting will have a different topic of interest. There will also be a 'parent comment' box near reception for you to write down any suggestions you have regarding the chosen topic, these suggestions will then be discussed during the forum.

Involvement in Class

We actively encourage parents to get involved with the school in any way they can.  Our school is very much a small community - an integral part of most parents' day to day lives - and in turn part of a wider community.  If you want to help in any way, just ask!  Parents are welcome in school to assist in a variety of activities, such as reading, small group work, music, PE, craft activities, cooking, gardening, forest schools, school visits, IT....
