Welcome to the Discoverers' class - a group of Year 4 pupils. We have mastered a wide range of skills during our time at school and are confidently applying them across the curriculum. We enjoy our topic learning, especially the one on CHOCOLATE! Of course, we learn about the science of melting and inventing new products, but our sense of taste needs to be fully explored too! We are confidently using ICT and iPads to help us discover more information about our topics and new areas of learning. We are independent learners and are encouraged to be responsible as we discover and practise skills needed for life. We also have plenty of problem solving opportunities to prepare us for the wider life when we grow up.
The Discoverers are taught by Mrs Penfold and supported by Mrs Polden.
This year we are lucky enough to be participating in the Prince William Award. The SkillForce Prince William Award provides a context within which young people aged 6-14 years can develop the confidence to think independently and make positive, informed decisions by learning to consider the impact of their actions and behaviour on themselves, on others and on the world around them.
